Who is Eligible 
Your health is important. When you need to see a doctor, don't put it off. The Moss Free Clinic places a strong emphasis on providing compassionate, non-judgmental care, respecting your dignity and self-worth.
You may receive care at the Moss Free Clinic if you:
- Live in the City of Fredericksburg or in one of these counties: Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania or Stafford
- Do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare
- Do not have other health benefits or insurance
- Have an income less than 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
Who decides if you qualify?
A trained volunteer will talk with you about your situation to find out if you can receive care at the Moss Free Clinic. To assess your situation, you will need to describe your income, expenses, and any insurance that you may have. Information may be verified and, from time to time, you may be asked about any changes.
You’ll need to bring:
- Proof of your local address
- Signed Federal Income Tax Return & W-2 forms
- Social Security Statements & 1099 forms (if applicable)
- 3 recent pay stubs from all working family members
- Food Stamp Notice of Action (if applicable)
- Letter of Support (if applicable)
- Documentation of any other income for your household
When can you receive services?
New patients are seen on Tuesday and Thursday evenings only and must be screened for eligibility prior to scheduling an appointment. Walk-in eligibility screening is on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning at 9AM.
Existing patients can call (540) 741-1061 to request an appointment.
The Clinic is closed on holidays.
