Giving and Getting Involved

Don’t Lose Your Good Cheer, Keep Giving all Year!
While searching, you may want to look for opportunities you can help with year round. Though there is a great need for volunteers during the holidays, nonprofits continue throughout the year and could use your help to keep up their good work after the turkeys gone and the holiday lights come down. Consider making a commitment that will extend into the new year and beyond.

Product Donations

Without the assistance of the Clinic's pharmacy program, many patients would go without their daily medications. The Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic annually fills over 50,000 prescriptions in its licensed pharmacy by dispensing medications donated by pharmaceutical companies or purchased by the Clinic.

The Clinic also accepts donations of certain supplies such as, radiology x-ray film, office supplies, examination gloves, plastic utensils, paper plates, and napkins, in addition to restaurant supplied meals to feed our evening clinic volunteers. Please speak to a clinic representative before sending any product donations.

If your office or organization is interested in providing a donated service or product that you believe may be valuable to our patients, please complete our on-line request form or call us at (540) 741-1061.

Service Donations

The Moss Free Clinic could not operate without the variety of services provided through Mary Washington Healthcare and Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Both in-patient and out-patient services are provided to Clinic patients by the hospitals and other community partners. The availability of testing options for laboratory and radiology tests gives health care providers confidence in being able to provide quality care to the Clinic's patients.

Many specialists and other community resources provide valuable referral services to the Clinic's patients. Annually, more than 100 local physicians donate over $200,000 in services in their own offices to the Clinic's patients.

Financial Contributions

The Moss Free Clinic is supported primarily by cash and in-kind contributions from the private sector. State and local governments provide funding to the Clinic amounting to approximately 13% of the Clinic's annual revenues. You can make a difference.

Generous support from individuals and organizations who contribute money make the operation of the Moss Free Clinic possible. The Clinic is a federally designated 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.

To find out more about making a contribution, please complete our on-line request form or mail your financial contribution payable to the Moss Free Clinic, 1301 Sam Perry Boulevard, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.

If you would like to speak with someone directly please feel free to call Stacy Pierce at (540) 741-3715
